San Francisco Bay University Celebrates 2024 Spring Commencement

San Francisco Bay University celebrated the hard work, dedication and achievements of the Class of 2024 at its spring commencement on May 19, marking a momentous occasion for 122 graduates and their loved ones.

Forty students received their master’s in business administration, 77 students received their master’s in computer science, three received bachelor’s degrees in computer science and two received bachelor’s degrees in business administration. They now join more than 13,000 SFBU alumni around the world.

“As Bayhawks, you are defined not just by the knowledge you have accumulated, but by your readiness to apply that knowledge in ways that matter,” President Nick Ladany said. “You are entering a world that needs your energy, your compassion, and your vision. As you leave SFBU, remember that your learning does not end here. Life is a continuous journey of education and growth. Embrace every opportunity to expand your horizons, challenge yourselves, and use your skills to contribute to your communities.”

Dr. Mariam Ghazvini, who has been at SFBU since 2009 and serves as the university’s director of counseling and career services, alumni relations manager and an instructor in the School of Business, received the first-ever Distinguished Staff Award during the ceremony.

“Dr. Ghazvini truly embodies the values and ethos of our organization, and we are incredibly grateful for her unwavering commitment to excellence,” said Gunjan Patel, an SFBU alumnus and member of the Board of Directors.
