At San Francisco Bay University, students aren’t just gaining academic knowledge — they’re discovering opportunities, building networks and creating a future full of potential. Jennie (Munkhjin) Darkhanbaatar is a sophomore studying business and Student Brand Ambassador who is quickly making her mark both in and outside the classroom.
When it came time to choose a university, Darkhanbaatar felt an immediate connection to SFBU. “From the very beginning, the vibe at SFBU was welcoming and open,” she said. “The university offers a great variety of scholarships, making it an affordable and attractive choice for my studies.” This sense of community and opportunity led her to pursue a degree in business administration, a path that aligns with her future goals of becoming an entrepreneur.
As a Brand Ambassador, Darkhanbaatar works closely with SFBU’s Enrollment Team to create exciting content that features the various events, communities and opportunities at SFBU. “I want to show future students just how great it is to be part of the SFBU community,” she said. “The university has so many good values, and I hope to help others realize that through my work as an ambassador.”
Beyond this role, Darkhanbaatar has also taken on a research position with Chair of Business Johnathan Mun to deepen her understanding of the business world. She is also actively involved in extracurricular activities that align with her career goals.
“I’m focused on self-improvement,” Jennie said when asked about what motivates her to get involved. “I’m always looking for ways to grow — whether it’s through classes, internships or campus involvement.”
When asked about her favorite aspect of SFBU, Darkhanbaatar easily shared that it was the diverse student body. “It’s amazing to meet so many students from different backgrounds,” she said. “SFBU really fosters an inclusive and multicultural environment.”
Academically, she’s also impressed by the helpfulness and support of the professors and staff.
“The professors truly care about your success, and the staff is always available to help with any questions or concerns,” she said. “It makes a huge difference in my experience here.”
With her dedication to learning, involvement on campus and passion for entrepreneurship, Darkhanbaatar is on a path to success at SFBU. She believes SFBU provides a unique combination of academic rigor, cultural diversity, and career-building resources that set it apart as a top choice for students seeking a dynamic, enriching university experience.
