Bio

Dr. Muhammad Shumail is a Scientist at the SLAC National Accelerator Laboratory of Stanford University, where his research focuses on developing novel particle accelerators for industrial, medical, and scientific applications. He earned his B.S. in Electronic Engineering from the GIK Institute of Engineering Sciences and Technology in Pakistan.

After several years working in the research and development industry, he pursued graduate studies at Stanford University, completing both his M.S. and Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering with a minor in Physics. Before joining SLAC as a full-time researcher, Dr. Shumail taught Physics, Math, and Engineering at Habib University in Pakistan. Alongside his research, he remains deeply passionate about teaching and enjoys engaging students in discussions across physics, mathematics, and engineering.

Outside of work, Dr. Shumail is an avid hiker and road biker.
