In addition to setting affordable tuition rates, SFBU offers tuition scholarships for both undergraduate and graduate students. Because we’re not just trying to lower the common barriers to a college education — we’re committed to removing them altogether.

Undergraduate Tuition Scholarships

We consider all future SFBU students for tuition scholarships with the submission of their admissions application — and we don’t require any supplementary materials. Scholarships are available on a first-come, first-served basis and will be awarded based on funding availability. For Fall 2025: Submit your enrollment deposit by May 1 to secure your scholarship.

Need-Based Financial Aid

Because SFBU does not receive federal aid, we do not require students to submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) with their application. However, students who complete the FAFSA during the application process for other institutions may submit their FAFSA-generated Student Aid Index (SAI) in order to qualify for additional need-based aid given directly by SFBU.
