At SFBU, we set affordable tuition rates and offer scholarships to make higher education accessible. Our goal is not just to reduce barriers — but to remove them.

Undergraduate Tuition Scholarships (Effective Fall 2026)

All applicants are automatically considered for tuition scholarships when they submit their admissions application and required materials. No additional scholarship application is required. Scholarships are awarded on a first-come, first-served basis and depend on funding availability after priority deadlines have passed.

 

Undergraduate Merit Awards

Awards are now presented as flat dollar amounts applied toward tuition only:

Full Tuition Undergraduate Scholarships

SFBU offers full tuition scholarships through the Startup Scholars Program and partnerships with community-based organizations (LEAF, College Track, Boys & Girls Club, Junior Achievement). These programs replace merit awards and provide full tuition coverage.

New Requirements for Recipients (Effective Fall 2026):

  • Maintain a minimum GPA of 2.75 for renewal.
  • Serve as student ambassadors for Admissions or Student Affairs.
  • Participate in marketing, advancement, and donor relations efforts.
  • Complete at least two hours per semester of service to support university outreach and engagement.
