Bio
Dr. Abdur R. Sikder is a faculty member in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at San Francisco Bay University. He teaches undergraduate and graduate courses in areas including Managing Enterprise Networks, Information Systems, Discrete Mathematics, System Administration, Machine Structures, and Software Development (Python, Java, C#, JavaScript), emphasizing project-based learning and applied problem solving aligned with ABET student outcomes in system design, technical competence, and professional practice.
Dr. Sikder’s research spans machine learning, bioinformatics, protein structure prediction, image processing, and cybersecurity, with projects in EEG/fMRI image reconstruction, automated disease detection, and protein domain boundary prediction. He has published extensively in IEEE, ACM, and BMC journals and conferences, authored technical books on programming and Python, and serves as a peer reviewer for leading bioinformatics journals.
