Bio
Kell Fujimoto, PsyD., Senior Director of Wellness and licensed psychologist, was born and raised in Hawai‘i where he received his Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology and Master of Education degree in Counseling and Guidance from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa. He obtained his Doctor of Psychology degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University/Honolulu.
Dr. Fujimoto's 25+ years of clinical experience in higher education and college counseling expands from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa in Honolulu, Hawai‘i; Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah; and San José State University in San José, California. His last assignment, as the Director of Counseling and Psychological Services at Cal Poly Pomona in Pomona, California, had him managing the campus's counseling center and survivor advocate services. Dr. Fujimoto currently oversees the wellness services at SFBU which consist of counseling services and the disability and accessibility services. He also teaches the APP course "How the Brain Works," a neuroscience, human development, and self-awareness course for undergraduates. Dr. Fujimoto embraces diversity and inclusion and engages in a transformational leadership style that supports individuals' development. For recreation, Dr. Fujimoto is an avid pickleball player, entering tournaments across the country, and spends time connecting with his two adult children and pet corgi.
