Bio

Mr. Michael Aquilina is a seasoned high-technology executive and business educator with more than 30 years of industry experience and over 20 years of teaching experience at colleges and universities in the Bay Area. His professional background spans business, finance, marketing, statistics, and technology-driven organizations, with a strong emphasis on product marketing, e-commerce strategy, and data-driven decision-making.
Mr. Aquilina spent 25 years in the high-technology industry in progressively senior leadership roles, including Technical Support Manager, Product Marketing Manager, Director of Channel Marketing, and Senior Director of e-Commerce and Marketing Programs. He worked with major technology companies such as Adaptec, Fujitsu America, and Trace Products. Most recently, he served as Senior Director of e-Commerce and Marketing Programs at Fujitsu America, where he led the company’s online consumer store, digital marketing initiatives, and customer engagement strategy. Under his leadership, Fujitsu’s e-commerce platform grew to more than 4.5 million monthly visitors and generated approximately $35 million in annual revenue.
As an educator, Mr. Aquilina has taught undergraduate and graduate-level business courses for more than two decades. He has held adjunct faculty appointments at multiple institutions, including San Francisco Bay University, Santa Clara University, California State University East Bay, Ohlone College, and the University of Phoenix. His teaching emphasizes practical application, student engagement, and integrating real-world business experience into academic coursework. He has received multiple teaching recognitions, including being named Bay Area Distinguished Faculty of the Year and being selected as a Charter Member of the Phoenix 500, which recognizes top faculty nationwide.
