Johnathan Mun, Ph.D.

Professor and Chair of Business

Dr. Johnathan Mun is a Professor and Chair of the Business Department with 25 years of industry and academic experience. He has taught at the MBA, M.S., and Ph.D. levels in 10 countries and authored 30 books and 150 academic articles. Dr. Mun holds 13 patents, has consulted for over 50 multinational companies, created 10 software applications, and founded three companies. His research interests include financial analytics, quantitative methods, data science, economics, investment science, simulation, predictive modeling, AI/ML analytics, and optimization.

Cassondra has a diverse background in Business Management, Marketing, Project Management, Supply Chain Management and Finance. Cassondra’s expertise includes Supply Chain management, Consumer Behavior, and Cost Accounting. Cassondra’s research interest focuses on consumerism, marketing analytics, consumer behavior, and the fiscal implications of misaligned U.S. apparel sizing standards. Cassondra has over 20 years of professional business experience and 15 years of instruction experience across primary and tertiary education.

Mike Aquilina

Mike Aquilina is a seasoned high-tech executive and business instructor with 30 years of experience in companies like Adaptec and Fujitsu. He has played a key role in launching and marketing high-tech products, and most recently served as Sr. Director of e-Commerce and Marketing at Fujitsu, leading their website and digital marketing efforts. Mike has been teaching Business, Finance, Marketing, and Statistics at Bay Area colleges for over 20 years and has been with SFBU since 2015.

Esfandiar Bandari

Dr. Esfandiar Bandari is a former NASA Scientist with seven years of experience, who transitioned into a successful serial entrepreneur. He holds a Ph.D. in Computer Science, specializing in Computer Vision and Signal Processing. His ventures have focused on Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Natural Language Processing (NLP). Following his tenure at NASA, he earned an MBA from the University of Cambridge in the UK and is a member of the Harvard Business School Startup Advisory.

Flora Chu

Flora has over 20 years of teaching experience in accounting, auditing, financial investment, and business capstone courses. With expertise in corporate leadership, strategic planning, and financial modeling, Flora specializes in Sarbanes-Oxley internal control, revenue recognition, process improvement, and software conversion.

Reginald Duhé

Dr. Reginald Duhé is a management, business marketing, and professional development professor. He has over 15 years of corporate experience in various management roles for industry-leading organizations like IBM, AT&T, and Cisco Systems. He has also worked for and consulted with educational and non-profit organizations, focusing on marketing, communications, and branding strategies.

Dr. Dupic recently sold his family business, which he founded in 2006. He has held leadership roles, including CEO of Nemont Telecommunications Cooperative, General Manager of The Toledo Telephone Company, and Vice President of Regulatory Affairs for Golden West Telecommunications. He also served as Vice President of Operations and Corporate Secretary for Dakota Telecommunications Group. Dr. Dupic has extensive experience in the telecommunications industry and has served on multiple national and state boards. He holds a B.S.

Mariam Ghazvini

Dr. Mariam Ghazvini is a professional mentor, coach, and distinguished toastmaster with expertise in leadership, emotional intelligence, management tactics, and human resources management. She holds an Ed.D. in Higher Education from USC, an MA in Counseling from Santa Clara University, an MA in Higher Education from San Jose State University, and a BA in Sociology. Dr. Ghazvini’s recent research and teaching focus on Positive Intelligence. She is passionate about guiding others toward success through personal and professional development.

Nicole Goldberg

Dr. Nicole Dillon Goldberg is a scholar-practitioner specializing in organizational change, leadership, and artificial intelligence adoption. She earned her PhD in Organizational Development and Leadership from the University of Arizona, where her research examined leadership strategies for building resilience in AI-driven transformations.
