Bio

Dr. Ahmad A. Shaar is a Professor of Business with over 20 years of academic, industry, and consulting experience specializing in Knowledge Management, Business Intelligence, Agile Project Management, and Organizational Strategy. His doctoral research in Business Intelligence in Agile Project Management is registered and copyrighted with the U.S. Library of Congress. His research has been presented at leading academic venues, including Harvard University and the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), where his work received a Best Poster award.

Dr. Shaar has extensive industry experience, having program-managed and consulted on large-scale technical and operational initiatives across multiple Alphabet divisions, including Google, YouTube, Waymo, Fitbit, Chrome, and Verizon. He has also collaborated with major global organizations such as Procter & Gamble, Intel, Stanford University, eBay, Starbucks, Levi’s, McDonald’s, Yahoo, and UNICEF. His work bridges academic theory and real-world application, with a strong focus on data-driven decision-making, innovation, and organizational transformation.

As an educator and academic leader, Dr. Shaar has taught at numerous institutions in the United States and internationally, including UC Berkeley, San Jose State University, William Jessup University, International Technological University, the State University of New York, and institutions in Switzerland and Lebanon. He has served in leadership roles overseeing MBA and graduate programs, curriculum development, faculty assessment, accreditation processes, and industry partnerships. He has trained more than 18,000 professionals worldwide and has provided executive coaching to senior leaders and entrepreneurs.

Dr. Shaar is a Certified Internal Auditor in Quality Management and has helped organizations achieve ISO and HACCP certifications. He is also an entrepreneur, having founded six startups and co-founded four others across cybersecurity, consulting, training, and recruitment. His professional motto reflects his applied mindset: “I’m a solution… looking for problems.”
